Front-end Software Engineer
Your Role
As a front-end software engineer, you will work on building the operating system for factories. You will help to design the front-end and user experience needed to scale to thousands of users with different workflows and will have the opportunity to make a massive impact on the foundations of AiSupervision. You will be in touch with the entire team to design the product and make software that factory managers and workers love.
AiSupervision is backed by Y Combinator and based in Mannheim, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Build front-end user experiences that are intuitive and easy to use for non-technical people.
- Design, implement and iterate on product features.
- Implement interfaces in a crisp and precise way in both web and mobile.
- Critically question, analyze and improve existing processes - we constantly aim to improve our existing setup with maximum efficiency.
- Help us to design and build the best possible version of AiSupervision.
- Make something people want and empower factory workers and managers to thrive and love their jobs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full time industry experience as a front-end software engineer.
- Experience working with React, Next.js, Typescript, Jest, Playwright and React Native
- First experience in developing back-end systems (Python, Flask, Django, PostgreSQL) - not required but very beneficial
- Strong sense for good UI and user-experience.
- You write high quality code that runs smoothly in production.
- Flexible and able to solve problems quickly and iterate your way to the best solution.
- Genuine interest in and curiosity about the manufacturing industry.
- Excited about constantly learning and applying new technology.
- High level of self-motivation, passion to solve hard problems and thinking outside the box

We intend to be a remote-friendly company but we would like to spend time together in-person in Mannheim, Germany at this early stage if possible. At minimum this means productive and fun onsites in Germany or ideally means full relocation (which we would help with).
