Full Stack Software Engineer
Your Role
As a full-stack software engineer, you will work on building the operating system for factories. You will work closely with our CTO Alex to design the architecture needed to scale to thousands of factories with different workflows and will have the opportunity to make a massive impact on the foundations of AiSupervision. You will work with the whole team to design the product and make software that factory managers and workers love. Above everything, you will learn rapidly about industrial workflows and the complex data challenges in a fast-growing startup environment.
AiSupervision is backed by Y Combinator and based in Mannheim, Germany but the role is fully remote with opportunities to meet in person while maximising productivity working from wherever you are most productive.
Responsibilities
- Help design a scalable and flexible architecture to support different factory workflows.
- Design, implement and iterate on product features.
- Work on scaling and extending our back-end infrastructure.
- Contribute to engineering and deployment processes.
- Critically question, analyze and improve existing processes - we constantly aim to improve our existing setup with maximum efficiency.
- Help us to design and build the best possible version of AiSupervision.
- Strive for excellence and learn from the team while always contributing to make it better.
- Make something people want and empower factory workers and managers to thrive and love their jobs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full time industry experience as a software engineer post-graduation.
- Experience building web applications and services with python.
- Experience designing and building complex back-end systems.
- Experience building front-end interfaces that users love.
- Experience working with databases.
- Experience deploying software to cloud infrastructure.
- You think about systems and services in terms of powerful abstractions.
- You write high quality code that runs smoothly in production.
- Flexible and able to solve problems quickly and iterate your way to the best solution.
- Genuine interest in and curiosity about the manufacturing industry.
- Excited about learning new technology.
- Excellent and responsive communication skills.

We intend to be a remote-first company but we would like to spend time together in-person in Mannheim, Germany at this early stage if possible. At minimum this means productive and fun onsites in Germany or ideally means full relocation (which we would help with).
